Managing and Deleting Your Tobacco Cellar Data
Tobacco Cellar uses Google Sign-In as an optional feature to securely synchronize your cellar data across your devices. This feature links the app to your Google Account but does not create a separate account on any servers. All synchronized data is stored in a private folder within your own Google Drive account that only Tobacco Cellar (app) can access. The app itself only saves your login email internally to persist access to Google Drive. This application-specific folder and its contents will not count toward your Google Drive storage limit.
How to Delete Sync Data and Clear Login
The app does provide internal clearing of the locally saved email (shared only with Google Drive for access to the drive) from within the app. This is not a true unlinking, but does prevent any data transfer from occurring:
Navigate to the Settings screen from the home (Cellar) screen in the top right corner.
Under “App & Database” Settings, select the option “Multi-Device Sync”.
In the dialog that opens, tap the text that reads “Clear Remote Data” to delete the app data stored on Google Drive, or tap “Log Out” to clear the login and locally saved account email.
How to Revoke Drive Access/Unlink Your Google Account
To permanently and completely unlink Tobacco Cellar from your Google Account and revoke its access to your Google Drive, you must do so from your Google Account's security settings. If you wish to delete the sync data on your Drive, please do so before unlinking (unlinking will not automatically delete this data). This will stop all current and future synchronization for the app. If you wish to also clear the remote sync data, please do so before unlinking your Google Account. To revoke access:
Open a web browser and go to your Google Account's permissions page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
Sign in to the same Google Account you use with Tobacco Cellar.
In the list of "Third-party apps with account access," find and click on Tobacco Cellar.
Click the "REMOVE ACCESS" button and confirm your choice.
Once you have removed access, Tobacco Cellar can no longer access your Google Drive to read or write sync data. The data previously stored in the app's private folder will remain in your Google Drive but will be inaccessible and will no longer be used by the app.
